CALL FOR PAPERS
The goal of the 1st International Workshop on Software-defined Network for Cyber Physical Systems (SDN-CPS 2024) is to delve into the application of new and innovative technological research towards integration of software defined network platform and protocols with cyber physical systems for efficient and scalable implementation of heterogeneous network applications and thereby developing innovative solutions towards automation of CPS. The major objective is to automate the communication and computing perimeter of CPS exploiting the benefits of SDN technology and to develop usable applications and systems. The emphasis is to provide an interdisciplinary platform to the researchers to exchange their ideas, present their results, share their thoughts based on their expertise, stimulate new research idea, and foster collaborations among computer scientists, engineers, domain experts, urban scientists and representatives from Government and NGOs to automate CPS for an effective computation-driven-society. We welcome submissions that identify challenges, report experiences, and discuss progress towards design, solutions or vision/ideas of SDN which will help in contributions to describing techniques applied to the real-world CPS problems, novel Networking Architectures and Protocols, Systems and Platform designs, and applications along with interdisciplinary research involving integration of SDN, IoT, Sensor Networks, Embedded Systems, Mobile, Edge and Cloud resources, AR, VR, Machine Intelligence techniques, Game Theory, Trusted Computing and Societal Computation.
The research topics covered by the workshop are (but not limited to):
● Communication Platforms and Protocols for cyber physical systems (CPS)
● Traffic Management, Control and Load Balancing in SDN
● Emergency response support system (ERSS) using SDN
